A simple but effective idea to stop paint going to landfill – putting it to good use in our community and in households that are on a low income.
Thanks to a donation in 2013 from Ryde Town Council – The paintstore is open!
In the basement of the new Aspire project (the old Holy Trinity Church), Dover Street, Ryde is a huge cupboard that we keep stocked up from regularly receive donations of paint coming from several trade paint stores and direct from the public. This paint may week be a dented can, a colour mis-tint or just an end of line or someone decided they didn’t want it anymore – these cans of paint still have a good life but would have normally been taken to landfill sites.
We check & redistribute it to community groups, churches, charities and anyone who may need paint. Who can then transform their home, project or local community! Just a simple lick of paint can make our area feel so much nicer – do you have a community project in need of brightening up? your living room getting you down? a wall or garage in your community an eyesore? well get in touch with us and see what paint we have in stock.
All we ask for is a small donation to cover some of our costs – lets talk about it & start to brighten up lives & communities!
